Turkish Budget Runs TL 4.2 Billion Surplus in January 2016
Monthly budget realizations of January 2016 was declared with a report by the Finance Ministry. It was stated by the Minister Naci Ağbal that the monthly budget surplus for January 2016 reached to TL 4.2 billion compared to TL 3.8 billion realized in January 2015 marking %16,5 rise.
According to the same report, the primary surplus raised to TL 9.8 billion in January 2016 from TL 8.8 billion in the same month of the previous year.
Budget expenditures stood at TL 42.5 billion and non-interest budget expenditures were realized at TL 36.9 billion in January 2016.
Budget revenues and tax revenues were realized respectively at TL 46.7 billion and TL 39.7 billion in the same month, reflecting the long standing governmental focus on the fiscal discipline maintained for more than a decade.
