‘Private’ invitation for Gulf investors
‘2. TOBB-Gulf Cooperation Council Business and Investment Forum’ was jointly carried out by The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the Bahraini capital city of Manama.
Presiding Turkish delegation in the aforementioned gathering, Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkçi has invited investors from Gulf region to effectively benefit from economic dynamism and investment opportunities that would emerge within the framework of gigantic projects such as Third Airport to Istanbul, Marmaray, Eurasian Tunnel and Canal Istanbul.
Speaking at the opening session, Minister Tüfenkçi stated that the TOBB-Gulf Cooperation Council Business and Investment Forum has utmost importance for the reinforcement of trade and economic relations between Turkey and Gulf Region and determination of mutual investment opportunities for both sides.
Pointing out that the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council has a special place for Turkey, Minister Tüfenkçi told the audience that their respective countries have unshakeable bonds with a shared history, culture and destiny.
Also, Minister Tüfenkçi reiterated his remarks by saying that endeavors, energies and experiences of all concerned parties should be united to create a level playing field to enable peace, security, stability and welfare prevail throughout the region.
