On June 15, 2016, Turkey faced a military coup attempt that aimed to destroy the democracy together with its institutions.

The terrorist group behind this attempt did not take into account Turkish People’s belief in democracy and strength to defend it.

We are once again bounded together around our shared values.

We, as the people of Turkey, have fully stood behind our republic, democracy, national will and sovereignty.

We have conveyed the message of unity in its strongest sense to both foes and friends. We will keep contributing to our national confidence, welfare, peace and development by strictly abiding by our common values that bound us together.
