A new roadmap with Iran in trade
After holding official meetings with Iranian Vice President Ishak Cihangiri, Communication and Information Technologies Minister Vaizi and the Minister of Mining and Trade Muhammed Rıza Nimetzade as a part of his visit to Islamic Republic of Iran, Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekçi assessed the results of that visit to journalists in Denizli.
Stating that the meetings and negotiations he has personally held with the high ranking representatives of Iran cited above and meetings held between delegations of both countries have run quite effectively with productive results, Minister Zeybekçi told the reporters that they are aiming to increase the number of products included in the ‘Preferential Trade Agreement’ to 200 due to 34% rise in the trade volume in this regard.
“We have been to Iran with our non-governmental organizations and MPs. We held highly productive meetings with our counterparts and examined the newly built Turkish Trade Center there. While there, we reached a mutual understanding regarding a list of steps to be taken and a sketched roadmap in this regard.” told Minister Zeybekçi.
